Unfortunately there were only 4 teams in attendance at Dishforth on August 4^th, presumably because of a mixture of distance to travel from the south, inclement weather during the proceeding days and the fact that many people had only just returned from the World C/L Champs in Sebnitz.

As it turned out it was a fine warm day with a slight breeze across the field.

Len Morrall took was in attendance over as the contest director for the day with the help of three fellow fliers S. Robinson, M. Daglish and M. Worgan who assisted the competitors with timekeeping duties

Just four races were flown thus allowing each team to post three times
