The final event of the 2002 season had to have a last minute change of venue due to New Age Travellers having occupied the Dartford Flying Site. Several telephone calls resulted on the Saturday and the event was moved to Oakington. It was a pity we did not know earlier as the turn out might have been better than the 4 teams who attended on the day - several of the northern teams finding Dartford too far but Oakington a lot easier.

The weather was a lot better than forecast with temperatures around 12 degrees, cooling in the afternoon with a slight wind blowing.

Dave Fry paired up with Mike North as Martin Paffett was not available due to work commitments.

Five races took place (all three up) with all teams except Barker/Tompkins flying 4 times and the latter team having just 3 races - all of the flyers having to help time races they were not involved in.

Ross/Turner led the way again with a 3:16.1, Miles/Yeldham in 2^nd spot with a 3:33.1 and Fry/North a 3:52.7 to take 3^rd spot
